Would you start repainting the interior of your house a mere 5 days before Christmas - knowing you wouldn't have a prayer of finishing before?

So How's it going with the painting?? Only 2 days left...
Oh I put a few patches up, thought it was too light, got it darkened, put a few more patches up. Got my mom's advice and then got her advice again and decided to just change my plan a little. At least it's just family coming over for Christmas Eve. I'll just say 'no pictures in the den' haha :-)
I had planned to replace our dining room floor three days before Thanksgiving, but my husband talked me into waiting until after the holiday. It was good advice :)
But to answer your question, yeah, I'd totally do that.
